TRIX, VONE and BIZ have teamed up to form Brooklyn‘s most unpredictable superhero collective . United, they produce an ineff able mass of sound that is diffi cult to categorise as good or evil. VAX arose as the result of a vaccination error in the Unimoers in the midst of the pandemic (2021), during an irregular redshift in the Boötes Void (2022) and in the scope of a stock market crash in early 2020. In no less than three parallel timelines and – to oversimplify a bit – quantum fi elds, our three protagonists – VONE (Dr. D. Grey), who‘s still woodshedding in the drone portal on social drummedia, out of sheer boredom, TRIX (Prof. P. Breiner), who continuously modifi es spatially distorted scale rays directly from the orbit of the U.S.S. Batt letrance, and BIZ (Major L. Kozack), who has gradually become the lone expert in pan-cosmic forms of octave sums for cybernetically mask-like alternate organisms – have been researching NOTHING LESS THAN THE ULTIMATE DESTRUCTION OF THE FAILURE-PREVENTING SHIELD PROTECTING DEGREE-BEARING MODERN JAZZ GRADUATES ON LARGE STAGES. To fulfi l their quest, VAX conducts experiments with meat, spit, bones, LPs from A.C. Jobim, gravity, hair, reeds, leaves, members of right-wing populist parties and genetic samples from diverse jazz eras. From the golden data record on board Voyager Niederrhein 1 since 1977 AD, as it makes its way towards Gliese 445, alongside Bach, Mozart, Armstrong and Berry, one can also still hear, though fragmentary, several words from Carl Philipp Emanuel Hüsch: „… the evidence from their open mouths…the deep-frozen scream…“
However, here on Earth, one can also tune in to VAX in the most old-school of wavy ways, on WDR3‘s live listening spacetrip.
