The encounter project between Sun Yizhou, Zhu Wenbo, Zhao Cong, Tan Shuoxin, Simon Rummel, Thilo Schoelpen and Matthias Kaiser promises a fusion of different sonic worlds. Each musician contributes their unique expertise: Sun Yizhou experiments with feedback, Zhu Wenbo combines clarinet and tapes while Zhao Cong transforms everyday objects into sound. Tan Shuoxin uses electronics, Simon Rummel plays the microtonal harmonium, Thilo Schoelpen uses piano and feedback and Matthias Kaiser elicits new, fascinating sounds from the violin through preparation and amplification. Together they create a dynamic, interactive soundscape.
