The Neo-Soul of MOLASS combines old and new, a play between hot and cold that evokes emotions hard to put into words. Inspired by artists like Hiatus Kaiyote, Moses Sumney, and The Alan Parsons Project, their sound delves into unexpected depths, breaking down conventional genre boundaries. Funk, jazz, and electronic elements merge with the distinctive, multifaceted voice of lead singer Marissa Möller to create a Groovy Fairytale. Completing the lineup, keyboardist Jan Lammert, bassist Julian Schwiebert, and drummer Lambert Windges add a unique honesty to their sound. MOLASS won second place at Germany’s Future Sounds competition in 2021 and released their second album Piece Of Mass in 2022.
