"Hey, take a look at this!" the blonde sprite Frédéric squeaked to his red-haired companion as he wriggled his way under the propped cover of a grand piano and into the interior. KLANG! The ginger sprite, Alvise Sinivia as he was known, sprung from one key to the next before vaulting up to his blonde buddy inside the piano corpus. HOPPITYHOP! "Wow, that is cool!" he exclaimed, astonished, as he lay eyes on the carved inscription hidden back in the corner: "Mondays we're humanists, Tuesday we want apple strudel – HDH, 1972". Over the years, in the vast reaches of the pianoforte
the two had created a speculative, sound-responsive world map using their imaginations and drawing on diverse epochs. "I could go for some apple strudel right about now too," Alvise murmured dreamily, as he slid, sporting a bodycam, down the piano lyre like Oskar Werner as Montag in the famous Truffaut film. But Frédéric failed to catch the remark, as he had vanished beneath his headphones again, to explore the oceanic sound depths of the piano, murmuring to himself once more: “886 hertz squared, all odd-numbered overtones extracted, macrophonic amplification of the digit sum – and then run through the rotten Helmholtz resonator there in the back, enlarged to the gigantic projection screen for the people out there…. heehee…it's time to whip up some brand-new apple sound strudel!”
