In diesem minimalistischen Raum entstehen einzigartige Begegnungen.

Artist Spotlight: Akiko Ahrendt, Annie Bloch & Emily Wittbrodt XN: Akiko Ahrendt, @annie.bloch + @emily_wittbrodt 🗓️ Sat 29 Nov 2025, 5:00 pm 📍 Huddersfield Town Hall @kirkleestownhalls 🎟️ Standard £20 // Solidarity £26 // Under 30 £7 In the second half of this XN double bill, violinist Akiko Ahrendt, organist Annie Bloch, and cellist Emily Wittbrodt perform together as a trio for the first time. Drawing on prior collaborations, the ensemble investigate the points of friction, resonance, and synergy between their instruments. Together, the trio navigates a rich spectrum of sonic possibilities: the organ’s majestic harmonics and dynamic range provoke the strings to explore textures from delicate and whispering, to explosive and dissonant. Through deep listening and responsive interplay, the performance unfolds as an intricate conversation in sound, where traditions dissolve, boundaries blur, and music becomes a living, evolving entity. This is a rare opportunity to experience the transformative power of experimental chamber music, where the boundaries between instruments, timbres, and compositional expectations are continuously challenged and reimagined.
